Lagos Majority Leader Urges Ikorodu Residents to Embrace Tree Planting

The Majority Leader, Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Sanai Agunbiade has urged Ikorodu residents to cultivate the culture of planting trees to save the environment from destruction..

Hon. Agunbiade gave the advice today at the Ikorodu Constituency House, along Awolowo Road, Ikorodu, after planting a tree to commemorate the tree planting day.

According to Hon. Agunbiade, tree planting is one of the easiest ways of saving humanity from climate change.

“Tree planting exercise is one of easiest way to address problems of climate change”

“Tree planting play key role in our battle against climate change, feed our rivers, help to regulate the impact of storms and floods among other positive effects of the exercise. Tree planting also provide shade”

Others with Hon. Agunbiade to observe the exercise include former Ikorodu Local Government Council Leader, Hon. Azeez Jimoh Olosugbo, former Supervisor, Women Affairs & Poverty Alleviation, Ikorodu Local Government, Mrs Kudirat Owolabi, head, Agunbiade & Co., Barr. Olumide Oyedepo and the Personal Assistant to Hon. Agunbiade (Politics), Mr Yakub Ajalogun.
