Suave Record’s Artistes, DJs, Others Made Lagos Proud In Ikorodu
Saturday, November 5, 2016, will remain a day that cannot be easily forgotten by fun-lovers, entertainment promoters, artistes, Deejays and lovers of good music, as Suave records held its 4th edition of ‘Still Our Pride, Our Lagos’ concert in Ikorodu.
At the event, which took place at the frontages of the FunCity Amusement Park and Zenith Bank in Ikorodu, artistes, comedians and Deejays in Ikorodu made the crowd yelled and asked for more.
Aside being a gathering of youths in Ikorodu and others from other parts of Lagos State together under a peaceful and harmonious atmosphere,, the concert with the theme, “Together we can make it great again”, also served as a talent discovery show.
The greatest discovery of the concert was the synergy between two Suave records artistes, Bayzik and TySleek. The talented artistes aside their individuals performances which made fans yelled for more, their collaboration on stage also got the fans dancing and asking for more as they kept dishing out different tracks to entertain the large crowd at the concert.
Other Suave records artistes that thrilled the fans are Meca, and the ever-present Majek Baba.
Another performer who impressed and stunned the crowd with a great performance is Myrah, a lady who by all standard has proven to be an ability in disability. Although, her songs are still relatively new in the market, the crowd mimed along and encouraged her to give more.
The climax of the night was when Hon. Oni- Orisan Kazeem and Hon. Jimoh Azeez Olosugbo went on the stage after Myrah’s performance to use her as a point of reference to the youths in Ikorodu in what they termed as a ‘class act from a disabled who is abled in everything.’ The duo donated one hundred thousand naira to support Myrah’s music.
The rave of the moment in Ikorodu, Waskidoli, did not disappoint his fans especially with his popularly track, “The Code’. Because of the popular demands, the artiste performed three times to the delight of the fans who contributed to asked for more after each performance. The young artiste’s freestyle, local flavor and stage command made the difference at the concert.
Another class act of the concert was TQ Bello. The popular Afro and RnB artiste lived up to his billings with the way he rendered his popular tracks and how he mingled with the upcoming artistes to encourage them.
Writing on the concert cannot be completed without the mentioning of Afo, a comedian who was very popular with the crowd at the concert. The comedian who made the stage manager and strict Suave records Director, Bashexy forgot to get him off the stage, did not only made the crowd clapped at every act, he also made them demanded for more. The crowd-pulling comedy act did not only made his presence on the stage known,he also proved to have what it takes to stay permanently on the stage. It is doubtful if some of the established artistes would be keen to see him progressing because of the pun he always throws at them. Afo is more or less a music critique and prophet in the entertainment industry.
Other performances at the concert were Loveth, High boys, Ijebu boy, Lollipop, Da Fresh, YK Dales, Posh, Rap Currency, Cee Ryt, Starken, Hyperman Lucky, Smile and more.
