Ikorodu Industry Nite: A Platform Where Music Meets In Harmony With Dance, Modelling, Comedy

-Raw talents amaze patrons

DJ Kalakuta, the initiator of ‘Ikorodu Industry Nite’ (in blue t-shirt) on the turn-table with some of the Deejays that graced the inaugural event at Falcoms Bar & Lounge (Cafe), Ipakodo, Ikorodu.

It was an unforgettable experience at the inaugural edition of the ‘Ikorodu Industry Nite’ as sheer and raw talents were showcased to the amazement of patrons who attended the event at Falcoms Bar & Lounge, opposite Mobil Station, along Ipakodo/Igbogbo road, Ipakodo, Ikorodu, on Saturday, February 25, 2017.

The entertainment event put together by one of the leading Deejays in Ikorodu Division, DJ Kalakuta, in conjunction with Falcom Bar & Lounge, Elixee Models and Suave Records, is designed to provide platform for complete entertainment for Ikorodu residents and serve as a veritable platform for detection and promotion of abundant entertainment talents in Ikorodu.

Speaking at the event, Mr Oyebola Saliu Babatunde, popularly called DJ Kalakuta, stated that the ‘Ikorodu Industry Nite’ is a product of a long time thinking on how the entertainment industry can be developed and taking to a greater height .

“Ikorodu Industry Nite is all about entertainment and collaboration among the professionals in  and outside Ikorodu town for the betterment of the industry and professionalism among the practitioners.

“Talent is not enough. We have to start exhibiting passion for the job and that can only be done when entertainment practitioners have right attitudes and develop progressive thinking. Through this concept, we are planning to bring the upcoming and established practitioners together to interact freely and learn from one another while also given the residents maximum entertainment’’, said Mr Oyebola.

He added, “Ikorodu can produce better version of Olamide, Tuface, Wizkid and others, but our raw talents need a viable platform to showcase themselves and mix with the established performers within and outside Ikorodu “.

The organizer also appealed to corporate bodies, individuals and groups for their partnership through sponsorship.

In his own address, Mr Bashexy Oluwakemi Hassan, Chief executive Officer, Suave Records, stated that it is high time practitioners in the industry come together to chart new progressive course for the industry in Ikorodu.

Lord Bashiru Fatola, the Chief Executive Officer of Falcoms Bar & Lounge (Café), Ipakodo and a socialite, who is supporting the initiative, described the initiative of DJ Kalakuta as the best thing to happen to the entertainment industry in Ikorodu Division.

The inaugural edition witnessed an array of models from Elixee showcasing their talents on the walkway to the cheering audience who encouraged them.

Among the artistes that gave outstanding performances at the event were TySleek, Marrizzi, Waskidoli, Earlin Brown, Majek Baba, High Boya, Enitan and temilex.

Others were Kaysky, Sky P, Surely Boi, Scofield, East9ja, Bayuboi, Simple, Ok Sexy and Ladele among others.

The night was also rocked by the magical and powerful styles of Step Steppers  and World Famous Dancer groups.

Also adding colour and glamour to the night were top Deejays like Micky4, Chrisland, Dre, Chris and Bodmas who had all come to give maximum support to one of their own.

Popular standup acts , Afo, Mighty and Hyperman Lucky also represented the Comedians at the event.
