Ameen Ibrahim: A Dynamic, Enterprising Young Man Who Wants To Bring About Sustainable Development In Ikorodu North
One of the cheering news from the coming council elections in Ikorodu Division is the interests of established, enterprising and dynamic young men and women who are vying for chairmanship positions across the six Local Government and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs).This is indeed a great and encouraging departure from the past.
One of such young,educated, dynamic, enterprising, articulate and purposeful young men that is offering himself for the service to humanity in Ikorodu North LCDA is Ameen Olawale Ibrahim, a Finance, Building, Environmental, Computer and Town Planning Professional.
Ameen was born about 40years ago to the families of Apanishile (paternal) in Ijomu, Ikorodu/Maya Elediye and Olokunola (maternal) in Itunpate in Ikorodu. He is married with children.
A multi-talented person with interests in various fields of human endeavours with the sole purpose of putting all his experiences,gathered both in Nigeria and abroad,into the administrative operation of his local council area.
He currently studying for his Master degree in Business Administration at the School of Post Graduate Study, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo State. He bagged Bachelor of Science (Hons) in 2009 in Building Survey and Property Management with a major in Development of Building & Environment/Engineering from the University of Bolton, United Kingdom.
He had earlier obtained a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Town & Regional Planning, School of Environmental Studies, Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Ogun State after obtaining National Diploma from the same school.
In 1997, young Ameen also obtained a Diploma in Computer Science from the prestigious Lagos City Computer College, Ikeja, Lagos,after his secondary education. He attended Government College, Ikorodu,for his Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (1995) and Federal Home Science Association School, Ikoyi, Lagos,for his First School Leaving Certificate (1988).
Ameen Ibrahim is a self-motivated man with great communication skills and he’s endowed with adequate ability to work as an individual when necessary and with others as a team.
A man with modern administrative and technological know-how,his skills in IT and its applicability to day-to-day running of human affairs for efficiency and productivity stands him out among the rest.
His working experiences in both governmental and private organizations also gives him an added advantage over other aspirants vying to occupy the Isiu office in Ikorodu North Local Council Area.
Between 1999 and 2000, he was with Lagos State Ministry of environment & Physical Planning for his Industrial Training. He gathered necessary field experiences in Town & Regional Planning during this time. He also worked as a Building Maintenance Assistant while he was serving with the Nigeria Police Force, Asaba Command, during his National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) between 2003 and 2004.
He was the Administrative Officer & Project Manager of his family businesses which includes Al-Ameen Brother Nigeria Enterprises between 2004 and 2006; Bakery Operator (Cut & Slab), Parl Cakes Limited, United Kingdom,between 2007 and 2008; Casual Employer (Holiday job), Royal Mail, also in the United Kingdom, between 2007 and 2008.
A determined man with zeal to make a mark in his professional calling, he became the Assistant Maintenance Officer of the City Facilities Management, Horwrich (ASDA), United Kingdom.
His agenda for Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area and its residents is primarily to evolve a sustainable development by transforming the council into a commercial Centre in a division that is emerging as future of Lagos.
He also plans to bring about safe and secured environment for residents and workers with the aim of making the locality an habitable home, work place and tourism destination to visitors.
Young Ameen Olawale Ibrahim has developed a comprehensive programme which he would implement if elected as Chairman of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area.
He has also developed a comprehensive programmes in the areas of security, education, agriculture, infrastructure, employment and youths empowerment.
