The gathering was meant to be a contest in honour of late Ikorodu based turntable master, Mr Omote Peter, popularly called Deejay Omosco P, but it turned out to be another avenue to showcase the abundant talents which Ikorodu is blessed with in the entertainment industry.

Under the umbrella of Organization of Party Entertainers of Nigeria (OPEN),which is an association of professional Deejays, Masters of Ceremonies(MCs),Comedians and other entertainment professionals, the Ikorodu based Deejays gathered on Wednesday, May 24, 2017, at Denoyab International Hotel, Ikorodu High School Road, Ikorodu, between 6 pm and 11pm, to display their talents in honour of one of their own who died about two months ago.

The event, which was tagged, “DjBattle In Honour of Late DJ Omosco P”, had sixteen Deejays who took their turn to display their mastery of the turntable to the admiration of an  ecstatic gathering of  fun seekers.

“This is in honour of one of our own, late Omosco P, who dedicated his professional life to the course of OPEN. This is to show that we love him so dearly and we would have love to have him with us for long but God loves him most.”

“Members should not see what is happening here today as a contest but  as another training ground and an avenue to expose us to healthy contest and I’m very glad that we all turned out massively to honour our late brother and to propagate the ideals of OPEN”, Gbagba said thankfully.

“As we all know, OPEN is formed to bring all Deejays and other entertainers together for training, professionalism and to fight our course. This is just in preparation towards our yearly 24 Hours Open entertainment coming up on October 1 and our carnival during the annual Ikorodu  Oga Day Celebration.
